WA's Equal Opportunity Act reforms affect faith based schools

While schools are expected to retain the ability to prioritise student admissions based on religious affiliation, the proposed changes specifically aim to limit traditional exemptions that permit discrimination or exclusion on the basis of protected attributes such as sexual orientation, gender identity, or family status.
